The Ceremony of Total Swiss 2023 Sports Sponsorship

On February 4, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., Total Swiss held a sponsorship ceremony for athletes across the country. The ceremony was attended by a record number of athletes and a large number of guests, including former Vice Chairman of SAC-GOV, Yunlian Chen; Principal of National Sports University, Bing-Kun Chiu, Dean Yung-Cheng Chang, Director Chi-Jung Chen, Head Coach Mei-Hua Du, Coach Yun-Feng Lu; Principal of University of Taipei, Ying-Hao Chiu, Dean Guo-Wei Tseng, Director De-Zhi Liu, Professor Fu-Hsiu Hsieh, Coach Yu-Lin Ning, and Councilor Chong-Wen Chen; Principal of New Taipei Municipal Taishan Senior High School, Ling-Wen Kong, and Section Chief Wei-Jie Tseng; Principal of New Taipei Municipal Xinzhuang Junior High school, Chiu-Ping Lu, and Director Guo-Lung Wang; Teacher Feng-Tai Hsu, and Coach Chien-Chiang Lin; Principal Hsiu-Ying Li , Director Jo-Jia Hsu, and Coach Jia-Feng Lin of Fuchun Elementary School in Taichung City. Besides, many parents of the athletes also attended the event because it was held on the weekend.

The host, Mr. Jin-Wei Ran, pointed out that, Total Swiss has been sponsoring various sports projects since the first year of its establishment, including taekwondo, karate, billiards, inline skating, basketball, archery, athletics, based on the concept of using what is taken from the community. Even when the company was being faced with difficulties, the founder of Total Swiss, Dr. Willy Wang, still insisted on his philosophy and keep sponsoring. This is the spirit of Total Swiss, which makes the company different from others.

Dr. Wang gave a speech before the ceremony:

I'm sorry that so many students from so many schools, including Fuchun Elementary School in Taichung, have to take a lot of effort to get here. I heard that they had to gather students and parents in the early morning to come here, it was really hard.

In the future, I plan to sign the contract at each school respectively to save everyone’s effort.

From the beginning, Total Swiss has been sponsoring athletes with the business philosophy of using what is taken from the community. Unlike most corporate sponsorship of athletes, we do not look for established athletes to sponsor, but rather focus on the athletes with budding potential.

Therefore, it often happens that other companies take over the athletes who were sponsored by us after they have excellent performances. 

We have no opinions about it because it is good for each athlete to be given the appropriate resources and training at different stages. I often console my partners who feel sad about this.

As a company, it's great to see that the table tennis players in Taiwan have better performances after we sponsor the sport. For example, after the emergence of Yun-Ru Lin, there is now You-An Chang.

We organized the Total Swiss Cup Evergreen Table Tennis Tournament and raised the prize money from a very low level to NT$100,000, which attracts players from everywhere to compete. It will definitely attract famous players from China to come and compete if the prize money is raised to NT$200,000 in the future so that we can improve our skills in the competitions.

Sports and Health are two businesses that have proven to be unaffected by the epidemic and are even getting better and better.

Our Sports Administration is not at a very high level of government right now. Our government will definitely see the close relationship between the performance of sports and the strength of the country. In the future, I believe that the government will continue to raise the level of government of the Sports Administration.

The only member of Taipei City Council who studied sports, Mr. Chong-Wen Chen, also attended the ceremony.

Mr. Chen also paid tribute to Dr. Wang and Total Swiss for their long-term sponsorship of all athletes. "I am also one of the users of Total Swiss products.” said Mr. Chen, “ I have to put in a lot of physical effort during the election process, just like the athletes. The athletes perform better, and I also gain the physical strength and be elected because of using Total Swiss products.”
